My Healthy Life means...

I love being fit and healthy. I can fit on a swing with my son in the playground! I can take my dog for runs and basically have a full and happy life :-)

Your Journey

What major changes did you make to your food, exercise and thinking?

Food: I realised that I didn't need to eat the same amount as my partner. I also stopped eating take-away so often and started making Weight Watchers recipes - they are so easy and tasty!

Exercise: I started out slow after having Dexter; my mum suggested I get out of the house for a walk each day. The walk helped Dexter sleep and I got fresh air and exercise. I now run 5kms a couple of times a week, play netball and do exercise DVDs every other day. I'm addicted!

Thinking: I feel much more positive about myself and proud that I have met my goals.

Your Achievements and Rewards

What goals did you set yourself and how did you achieve them? What rewards and incentives did you give yourself?

My goal was to lose 20kg before I started back at work after maternity leave. My incentive was to look at a photo of when I was fit and healthy and also the photo of my wedding dress.

What is the most important thing or experience your new lifestyle has given you?

I feel fantastic and I look healthy and fit! I love the energy I now have and that I can try on clothes at the shops without feeling depressed.

Your advice to others?

Stick to it - Weight Watchers is a fabulous way of life. Have your treats but stick to your points.

I realised I'd really lost a lot of weight when my underwear fell to the floor!
